Michal brings over 15 years of hands-on experience in cabinet finishing to the Studio Carpentry team. With a background in traditional joinery and a deep knowledge of paints and surface treatments, he oversees the final stages of many of our pieces — ensuring every cabinet leaves the workshop with a finish that feels as refined as the design behind it.
Known as our resident expert in the spray booth, Michal’s approach is rooted in precision and passion. From selecting the right finish to achieving a flawless surface, his eye for detail helps bring warmth, texture, and depth to our cabinetry. Beyond his specialist role, he’s equally at home on the workshop floor, contributing to the making process wherever his skills are needed.
When not in the studio, Michal is usually outdoors. A keen hiker, he spends weekends exploring the Scottish Highlands and evenings walking the Pentlands or Arthur’s Seat.
