Whitehouse Road

A converted post office building transformed into a family space. The kitchen, part of an open-plan living area, was designed to reflect timeless craftsmanship while responding to the scale and geometry of the room. With a 2.6m ceiling height and generous wall spans of 5m and 4.8m, we developed cabinetry that reached floor to cornice, combining classical detail with modern utility.

This project exemplifies our commitment to craft and proportion. Every element was tailored: from the detailed skirting and cornices to the raised panel cabinetry and solid oak dovetail drawers. We concealed functional features such as the utility wing door on SOSS hinges and integrated spice racks within the pantry unit. A generous island, scaled to the limits of the chosen worktop slab, anchors the space, balancing elegance with usability. Interiors are finished in natural oak veneer for warmth, while the painted exterior brings softness and cohesion to the room. Decorative pilasters, vertical pantry lighting, and the statement mantle add distinctive character to a kitchen built to serve and last.
