This project was part of a full house renovation and extension for a young family. The focus was on creating a warm and functional open-plan kitchen, designed to complement a family lifestyle. The cabinetry features classic shaker-style door fronts, paired with interiors in oak MFC board—a practical and budget-conscious choice. Plywood drawers with oak veneer and simple joints provided durability and everyday usability. The kitchen integrates clever storage solutions, including a walk-in larder cupboard with internal drawers and spice racks, and a Vauth Sagel swing-out magic corner. A separate fridge and half-sized freezer were incorporated into individual housings for practicality. The cabinetry is finished in Paint and Paper’s Slate 2, with the island and utility units in Studio Green, adding depth and balance to the open space.
