Overview

Overview
This project involved the transformation of a grand Georgian townhouse in Edinburgh’s New Town. Working alongside London-based interior design studio HZI, we were commissioned to deliver a suite of bespoke joinery pieces that would bring both function and refinement to the home. Our focus was on crafting a contemporary kitchen, integrating tailored fridge and pantry cabinetry, and producing a series of elegant built-in storage solutions throughout the property. Each piece was designed to complement the interior scheme, while making full use of the home’s architectural proportions.

The finished interiors reflect a seamless blend of heritage and modern craftsmanship. The new kitchen is defined by bold painted cabinetry, fluted glass detailing, and a robust timber surround framing the cooking area. A pair of oversized larders and bespoke fridge housings were made in dark-stained oak, introducing warmth and texture to the scheme. Across the living spaces, we created integrated bookcases, media cabinets, and joinery features that add richness without compromising the home’s sense of light and scale. The result is a refined, characterful residence that showcases the potential of considered joinery throughout.
